In 1970’s, the industrial map in India was taking a head start .Mr.Banwari Lal Mehra and Mr.Vinod Mehra, the father and son duo took a bold initiative and set up one of the first Woolen Worsted spinning unit in Amritsar, a small town in the Indian state of Punjab, which was a big distribution centre for woolen shawls which were handcrafted in Kashmir.
With the onset of 2000, the first year when New diamond entered into the field of carded fabrics and yarn exports. The next generation Directors Vibhu Mehra & Sumit Mehra, have take the company to higher standard of effectively, professionalism and recognition.
Today New Diamond is a family of 1000 employees and workers running an entire vertical set up with 5 spinning units, 60 weaving machines and a complete fiber dyeing / scouring and fabric processing unit
